We are getting down to crunch time
We are now on the calendar beginning Monday the 8th for about 3 weeks. So what will likely happen is that one day in the next 3 weeks my attorney will call in after 4pm to find out if we need to be in court the next day. I really don’t care when I go as I am not guilty of DUI and can not wait to get this over with. I expect the morning of the trial, we will have pre-trial motions to see what if anything will get suppressed. Provided how much gets suppressed at pre-trial…my hope is that the Solicitor will dismiss on the spot. Should the Solicitor offer a plea (say down to reckless) it would have to be to something so low and non-alcohol related for me to even consider it. Otherwise, it will be trial by a jury of my peers. I know that is a bit dicey but I have two things working in my favor:
- I am not guilty of what I am being charged with and they can not prove that I am
- I have no hesitation about taking this to trial – none
